Eating Disorders
We work with people suffering from anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating etc.
Psychotherapy or counselling at early stages may help prevent the condition escalating to dangerous levels, and it may also be effective during recovery.
We provide support and counselling to help family and friends of people with eating disorders who often feel at a loss as to how to cope.
Eating disorders may result from one or several of the following:
- low self-esteem
- depression
- poor family relationships
- problems with friends
- the death of someone special
- problems at work
- stress at college or at university
- lack of confidence
- sexual, physical or emotional abuse
