Sound Wave Therapy Uses Good Vibrations For Health

by Lillian Powell

The wisdom of ancient health methods lies behind the new practice of sound wave therapy. Contemporary science now is able to track what mystics have said for thousands of years, namely that all matter vibrates with energy at different frequencies.

Humans often find this hard to believe since there are many sounds in the world they can't hear. That's because the range of normal human hearing is very narrow compared to many other species. Anyone who's ever trained a dog with a dog whistle, or listened to the noises that dolphins make to track their way through the oceans, understands how important frequencies are to life.

However, these natural vibrations also can have a degenerative effect on life. That's because all matter has an optimum energy state known as natural resonance. Medical science began to make use of this principle more than 25 years ago, when doctors started using sounds to break up kidney stones so they'd pass more easily from the body.

Wave therapy takes this principle one step further into holistic health practices. Studies have shown that, just as certain frequencies can break up mineral deposits in the body, other vibrations can influence the health of bodily systems such as the autonomic, endocrine and immune systems. That's because humans are capable of taking in vibrations beyond the normal hearing range.

As mentioned earlier, however, dissonant frequencies can have degenerative effects, just as resonant frequencies have beneficial effects. Some therapists now think that the vast ocean of electromagnetic frequencies in which we live today, such as microwave ovens and cellular telephones, are having significant negative effects on overall health. In other words, just as dolphins, whales and other sea mammals live in oceans of water, we humans today live in vast oceans of resonances and dissonances.

Sound wave therapy may sound like something New Age, but in truth it is a holistic health practice that has been benefiting people for thousands of years.
